IPOH, (Aug 20) — A man died after being hit by pellets from a shotgun fired by a friend while the two were hunting wild boars in an oil palm plantation in Pasir Garam, Kampung Gajah, here yesterday, police said Wednesday.
Perak Tengah Police chief Supt Mohamad Fakri Che Sulaiman said Mohd Sarjidi Ibin, 50s, and his 55-year-old friend had gone hunting at about 1.30 pm.
The friend is said to have shot a wild boar but saw Mohd Sarjidi fall and bleeding in the head, he said.
“He sent him to the Changkat Melintang Hospital. Mohd Sarjidi was then transferred to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh but died at 12.01 am today,” he said when contacted by reporters.
Mohamad Fakri said the case was being investigated for murder. — BERNAMA
