KOTA KINABALU, (Aug 20) — Sabah police have arrested two employees of the Pitas Hospital for using fake stamps and signatures to obtain loans from a cooperative branch here.
Sabah Commercial CID chief Supt Saiman Kasran said the Kudat Commercial CID arrested the two men, aged 38 and 44, at the hospital last Monday.
“The police seized a Hospital Pitas stamp, the Kota Marudu Hospital director’s stamp, a personal stamp of the Pitas Hospital director, two Kota Marudu Hospital medical officers’ stamps, a Kota Marudu Hospital administration assistant’s stamp, two certified true copy stamps and a stamp pad from one of the two suspects,” he said in a statement here Wednesday.
Saiman said the suspects were being held under remand.
He said the police received a report from the Pitas Hospital director on the matter on Aug 13, claiming that her signature, a personal stamp and the stamp of the Pitas Hospital director were falsified to obtain loans from the Kota Kinabalu branch of a cooperative. — BERNAMA
