KOTA KINABALU, ( April 10 ) — Sabah Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Juhar Mahiruddin on Thursday opened the first meeting of the second session of the state legislative assembly, and expressed the people’s sadness and sympathy over a missing Malaysian airliner.
He said the loss of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) Flight MH370 was badly felt by Malaysians.
“Let us pray and hope that the families of the passengers and crew on that flight will have the patience and courage to face the situation,” he said.
Flight MH370 disappeared while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8 and is believed to have veered off course and gone down in the southern Indian Ocean where a multi-national search is on to locate the plane.
The Boeing 777-200ER aircraft was carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew. A total of 153 of the passengers were Chinese nationals.– BERNAMA
