KUALA LUMPUR, (Sept 28) — Visibility of less than five kilometres in the waters of Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca, Johor, Pahang and Sarawak is expected to persist until Wednesday.
This condition is dangerous to ships that are not equipped with navigational equipment, said the Malaysian Meteorological Department in a statement today.
The same situation is also reported in waters of the Southern Straits of Malacca, Tioman, Bunguran, Kuching and Reef South.
Meanwhile in Phuket, strong Southwesterly winds with waves of between 40 and 50kmph rising up to 3.5 meter high is expected to continue till Wednesday.
This condition of strong winds and rough seas is dangerous to small craft, recreational sea activities and sea sports, stated the statement.– BERNAMA
