KOTA BAHARU, (Jan 6) — Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had a closed-door meeting with Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob at the latter’s office in Kota Darulnaim Complex, here, Tuesday.
Muhyiddin who arrived at 12.30pm, was believed to hold the meeting to discuss the recent massive flood in the state.
Also present at the meeting, which took about 50 minutes, were Kelantan Flood Disaster Special Committee chairman Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and National Security Council (MKN) secretary Datuk Thajudeen Abdul Wahab.
The deputy prime minister who is on a one-day visit to Kelantan to look at the post-flood situation, then chaired a state post-flood coordination plan meeting at Sutera Inn Prima at 2pm.
Muhyiddin, who is also Education Minister, later joined a post-flood gotong-royong programme of cleaning up Sekolah Kebangsaan Tanjung Cenak in Pasir Mas, near here.
The visit will end with him participating in another gotong-royong to clean up Sekolah Kebangsaan Rantau Panjang in Pasir Mas. — BERNAMA
