The body of Muda Abdullah, 48, was found by his family members and villagers in the river at around 8.30 pm.
The search for the disabled man was mounted soon after her sister, Esah Abdullah, 57, who is also Terengganu Communication Unit personnel, realised that he was missing, while his slippers and umbrella were found by the river.
The body was taken to the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital for post mortem.
Terengganu police chief, when contacted, confirmed receiving a report on the incident.
He said the police were waiting for the post mortem report, but did not dismiss the possibility that the victim slipped into the river while braving through the floods.
The first victim of the floods in Terengganu was Norsyakirah Izzati Nazliza, 13, who drowned in a well in Kampung Jelapang Bandar Permaisuri, last Wednesday. — BERNAMA
